DAT Test Preparation

The best way to prepare for the DAT exam is through repeated practice. There are many resources such as CDs’ and study books available for the students to prepare themselves for the test. These prep materials usually contain test formatted in the exact DAT test layout. By practicing repeatedly on these mock tests, students can familiarize themselves with the test format and sections. Other important advantages the student gains through practicing are Time management and self-evaluation. That is students learn to complete the test on time and also assess their strengths and weakness. The mock tests are helpful in charting out the students improvement through practice. The hardest part of the DAT test is the part dealing with perceptual ability. By studying and practicing on old model question papers the students can master this section.

There is an optional 30 minute tutorial at the beginning of the test. This tutorial can be ordered in advance from the Dental Admissions Testing Program to be used on a personal home computer for an additional payment of $10.00.
