DAT Test Fee

The total exam fee which is inclusive of the official score reports sent to the student, the pre-dental advisor and the five dental colleges of the students preference stated during registration is 170$. Students availing the facility of sending the score report to colleges after registration or needing score reports to be sent to more than the allowed five dental colleges have to pay an additional 15 dollars for each copy of score report requested. The fees cannot be transferred or refunded. All payments have to be made through Money order or certified checks payable in US dollars to the Dental Admission Test. CASH AND PERSONAL CHECKS are not acceptable with exclusion to members of the ADA or ASDA. The ADA or ASDA members have to record their membership number on the check to be accepted. Students registering through the Internet have to make their payments through credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Student’s with financial hardships can avail a 50% fee waiver by writing to the DAT authorities. A financial information form will be provided to the student to be filled in and submitted along with the application and pre-dental advisor's letter two months prior to the testing date. The fee wavier will include the fee for the test and the five official transcript reports. Students availing fee waiver are not exempted from paying the charge fixed for applying to dental colleges apart from the customary 5.

The Dental Admission Testing Program is the deciding authority in the reviewing and approval of the students applying for fee waiver. Students can apply for the fee wavier only once and not applicable for students wishing to retake the test. Since there is a limit on approval of the number of applicants being granted fee waiver, students are advised to submit their applications along with the completed fee waiver financial information form and letter from their pre-dental advisor.

Students who’s address have changed after submitting their application will have to submit a written request stating their name, Social Security number or Social Insurance number, former address and new address to receive their results at their new address.
