DAT Format

The test is divided into four sections:

• Survey of Natural Sciences to be completed within 90 min and covers Biology (40 questions), General Chemistry (30 questions), and Organic Chemistry (30 questions).
• Perceptual Ability Test with a time limit of 60 min
• Pretest (not scored) having a 25 min time limit
• Reading Comprehension Test to be completed within 50 min
• Quantitative Reasoning Test to be finished within the time frame of 45 min

There is an optional break time of 15 minutes that can be taken after the completion of the second section. There are a total of 280 questions that have to be completed within the provided 4hours.
